In these modern times, the Fire Service is being called upon more and more often to attend biological and chemical incident sites, essentially becoming the front line of defense for the public.  Environments that have been exposed to dangerous biological pathogens or chemical contaminants must be washed down with sterilizing agents as quickly and thoroughly as possible.

The Scotty line of foam eductors and nozzles are ideal as tools for clean up of biological or chemical incident sites.

Liquid sterilizers, such as bleach or chlorine, can be introduced into the water flow in whatever percentages are required.  Scotty Firefighter foam equipment, being constructed mainly from Nylon and ABS polymers, is not effected by these de-contamination agents.

The portability and versatility of the Scotty Hand Pump and Backpack systems lend themselves especially well to the hazardous task of DE-CON.

Fire Gel concentrates consist of super absorbent polymers that absorb and grow to hundreds of times their size when exposed to water.  The polymers, with all that extra water, provide an excellent thermal barrier against fire.  The clinging properties of Fire Gel enable it to be sprayed precisely where it is needed.  Fire Gels can be applied to metal, glass, stucco and wood.  When properly applied, Fire Gels will remain hydrated and effective for many hours.  Most brands can be safely applied to vegetation without permanent damage (with the exception of a possible leaf drop).

The Scotty 4010-50 Foam-Fast is a foam applicator made with the professional firefighter in mind.  This higher flow unit is designed to be attached to 1-1/2" hose lines.  The 4010-50 will flow water at a rate of 50gpm (190 Lt./m) when attached to a standard 1.5" fire hose line.  The 4010-50 is recommended for use with water pressures between 75psi and 125psi (maximum 150psi).

Each 4010-50 Foam-Fast unit comes with a 50gpm Nozzle, 15" long Mixing Chamber, two Pistol Grips (one with D-Handle Shut-Off) and six 12" long foam cartridges.  The Scotty Foam Cartridges (stock code 4010CART12) are biodegradable and are available separately.  Order stock code 4010-50 for 1.5" NPSH threads or 4010-50A for 1.5" NHT threads.

The 4010 are also available in a 15gpm or 30gpm version, for lower water flow systems.

The Scotty 4010-3 is the most simple and effective method of deploying a foam surfactant/wetting agent onto a fire scene from a 3/4" garden hose. Professional firefighters use foam surfactants in their water to lower the water's surface tension, allowing it to spread and penetrate much more easily. To operate, simply open the
inlet side of the mixing chamber, insert a foam cartridge, reseal the inlet end cap, attach to a 3/4" garden hose and spray foam. The 4010-3 will flow water at a rate of 3 gpm (12 Lt./m) when attached to a standard 3/4" garden hose line. The Scotty 4010 Foam Cartridges are biodegradable and are available separately. The 4010-3 is recommended for use with water pressures between 35 psi and 85 psi (the higher the pressure, the greater the reach of stream).

The Scotty 4049 is a "Mini Monitor" system that can be permanently or temporarily mounted virtually anywhere. The system consists of mounting plate, a removable pedestal base with a mounted stainless steel swivel tube, a threaded tube bracket, a 4080 Pistol Grip Shut-Off and either a Foam Tube Nozzle, a Fog/Stream Nozzle or a Smooth Bore Nozzle. The unit will swivel 360º and tilt up to 75º above and down to 45º below the horizontal. The unit can be locked in one of seven different angles by tightening the included knob lock.

All parts are made from glass-reinforced engineering grade nylon (Ny-Glass), high-impact ABS polymer or Stainless Steel, making the 4049 extremely durable and impervious to corrosion. The 4049 is designed for use with pressures between 50 and 150 psi.

The Scotty 4056 is an easy to use device that creates a thin wall of water to help cool and protect structures. The user simply attaches the Squall wall to a water supply hose end, secures the fitting to the ground using a spike or to and starts the flow of water. The small, angled ramp helps direct the water flow up through the opening vent. The Squall Wall is available in three different flow rates: 10gpm, 25 gpm and 60 gpm at 100 psi. The flow rating is embossed on each unit, just above the vent opening. The standard 4056 cvomes with male 1.5" NPSH threads. It is also available with a 4089 Quarter Turn Quick Connect (4056QC), a 4085 1.5" NPSH Double Female Connector (4056C) or a 4086 1.5" NPSH x NHT Double Female Connect (4056A). The part is made in bright florescent yellow, glass-reinforced engineering-grade, nylon (Ny-Glass), making the 4056 extremely durable and impervious to corrosion. The 4056 is designed foruse with pressures between 50 and 150psi.

The 4080 Shut-Off is a light weight quarter turn ball valve. The unit connects to 1.5" fire hose, or with a 4082/4083 reducer, a 1" hose line. The unit is available with NPSH, NHT(A) or BSP(B) threads. Manufactured from tough, corrosion-free glass-reinforced nylon.

Being made from Ny-Glass, the 4089s are durable, light weight and will never corrode or sieze together.

The Scotty 4577 Fire Coupler Spanner and Gas Wrench is a durable, light weight wrench used to tighten and loosen 1" (25mm), 1-1/2" (38mm), 1-3/4" (44mm), 2" (51mm) 2-1/2" (65mm) and 3" (76mm) fire hose line couplers, swivel hose fittings and anvil lug couplers. The tool can also be used to open standard, 70mm caps on foam concentrate containers. There are two different sized slots incorporated into the wrench for use as a gas cock shut off. The 4577 is made from incredibly tough, glass-filled nylon, comes in a high visibility yellow color, is spark and corrosion proof and includes a quick snap belt clip. When purchased in quantities of 500 or more, each wrench can be affixed with a custom made dome label showing a logo, website and/or telephone number. The wrench can be molded in virtually any color, minimum quantities apply. The 4577 wrench is 7-1/2" (190mm) long and weighs just 2-3/4 oz (79g).
