Fire Solutions offers an Aspirated Nozzle Foam System. The three main methods for mechanically generated foams are: a Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) such as our Foam Tote series; aspiration of foam solution through a nozzle, and aerial drops from fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft.
:: Powered by Water Pressure
:: Adds aspirated
foam to existing pump system
:: Place in hose lays
:: Hook up to
available fire hydrant or other pressurized water sources
:: Low
Maintenance/ Highly Durable
Aspirated foam systems are not as efficient as Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFS). Aspirated systems require more water, as well as more foam concentrate to produce foam. Aspirated foam is produced by forcing a foam solution through a nozzle that forms a partial vacuum and allows air into the foam solution.
Distances and foam efficiencies are determined by water pressure and the type of aspirated nozzle. A standard, low-expansion rate nozzle develops a good foam for direct attack on fires. Medium expansion rate foam can be used for covering flamable fuels and to build fire lines. This type of system requires a reliable pressurized water source such as: a fire pump and source, or a fire hydrant or other pressurized water system. It is a relatively low cost method to retrofit fire engines and tankers to foam.
Fire Solutions provides a complete unit for retrofits and for mobile or fixed applications. We provide a packages set up for mobile or fixed applications complete with a wrenches, low expansion, medium expansion nozzles, 100 feet of fire hose and five gallons of Class A or B Foam.
